Has your home sold yet? If not, why not?
Has Your Home Sold
If you’re home hasn’t sold, you should check the price. We’re in the middle of a seller’s real estate market. In Monmouth County condos, the about a 3.5 month supply of homes available. This tells me that there are more buyers looking for homes than there are available homes. And the homes that are selling are selling quickly for good prices. In addition, many real estate professionals are reporting they are having bidding wars with many of their listings.
We’re also seeing that many homes are selling above the asking price.
Why Hasn’t Your Home Sold Yet?
If you haven’t sold yet, check your price. Even though the market is hot, buyers won’t pay more than the home is worth. And, thanks to the internet, they know. You may have issues with your home. It may need updating, new landscaping, new paint or repairs. By all means, take care of these things. But, you can also take care of these things by reducing the price.
Bottom Line
So if your home is still on the market and you’re not receiving any offers, think seriously about reducing the price. Contact your Realtor, ask for a current Market Analysis. And if you’re trying to sell FSBO (For Sale By Owner), call me. Because that’s probably why your home hasn’t sold yet.
