I was reading, and I saw something that I find interesting. I had never realized this before. Each year, the National Association of Realtors conducts a survey of home buyers and home sellers. It seems that single, first time buyers are a significant part of the market. How significant? Would you believe that 68% of all first time buyers were singles ? I wouldn’t believe that. However, I would believe that 27% of all first time home buyers were singles. So – were males or females in the majority?
First Time Buyers
I’ve never realized, but, 33% of all the recent buyers were single when they purchased their first home. Did males or females comprise the majority? Not surprisingly, 18% of first time buyers were females. And my limited math skills tells me that 9% were males. Additionally, 8% of first time buyers were unmarried couples.
